Tanner is Project Fear’s heart, hype man, and the team's protective big brother—on and off camera. He’s the first to step in when things get sketchy, flipping into full defense mode the second someone hears a whisper, a footstep, or a door that definitely wasn’t open before. Off-camera, he runs point on contract negotiations and business logistics, and leads The Fear Club community with passion and care. He also collaborates closely with Star Cadet to help dream up new Fear Gear—equal parts spooky, and stylish.
Fun Facts:
- Once tried to fist-bump a ghost. It didn’t respond.
- Holds the unofficial world record for “fastest person to panic and trip over a sleeping bag.”
- Goes from “vibing with the group” to “paranormal bodyguard” in 0.5 seconds flat.
Alex is the friend who got roped into Project Fear and somehow ended up being the guy who walks straight into danger with a flashlight, a camera, and a perpetual worried look. He's is always down to explore the darkest corners of the most haunted places—despite what his facial expressions (and blood pressure) might suggest. Whether it’s setting up gear, editing, or diving into haunted spaces with a flashlight and some deep regrets, Alex is always game.
Fun Facts:
- Doors moving on their own will scare the literal lunch out of him.
- Believes ghosts respond better to people in beanies. Still testing that theory.
- Once captured a disembodied voice while casually eating trail mix.
As Dakota’s sister and the lone woman on Project Fear, Chelsea more than holds her own—bringing logic, grit, and just the right amount of sibling side-eye to every haunted location. A former Division I hockey goalie turned optometrist turned ghost investigator (because of course), Chelsea somehow always ends up assigned to the creepiest solo spots... usually in a basement with one flickering light and zero cell service.
Fun Facts:
- Officially has the worst luck in sleeping arrangements: “Oh look, Chelsea’s room is behind the boiler... again.”
- Claims she’s not scared. Might be lying. Probably isn’t.
- Once fell asleep in a haunted prison and rated it “less stressful than med school finals.”
Dakota is the driving force behind Project Fear—a talented filmmaker with a flair for the spooky and the slightly sadistic. While trip planning is a team effort, he’s the one who turns every haunted road trip into a cinematic (and psychological) thrill ride. Behind the camera and in the editing room, Dakota weaves fear and friendship into something unforgettable—with a dark sense of humor that tends to leave his friends and sister questioning their life choices.

- Accidentally discovered that subtle leopard print turns him into a night vision rockstar.
- Has personally slept in more haunted locations than most ghosts.
- Secretly thrives on the group’s “why are we doing this?” energy.
The Duck was first found by Dakota in an old abandoned rubber duck factory in Cleveland, OH. From there the Destination Fear crew have put it in their YouTube videos and episodes of destination fear as an Easter egg for people to try and find! It’s like their calling card and their team mascot! So naturally it became to logo for the Fear Gear brand and got a new spooky x-ray look. Logo design by our friend at Star Cadet, Bailey Galloway.
